Ian got involved in the music business Melbourne Australia as a DJ promoting Clubs & hosting his own radio show on KISS 90 FM. Relocating to London, he hooked up with top house outfit DREAM TEEM (Radio 1), honing his production and remixing skills on their house label imprint DF—but not before doing his first commissioned remix for S-Express ‘’The Return” (Rhythm King) and continued his production and remix career at Essential Studios (Hoxton Whores) working alongside Gary Dedman and remixing diverse artists like Michael Jackson, Massive Attack, Alison Limerick, Ice T and David Bowie, the huge anthem, “I Wanna Be U” by Chocolate Puma and “Outbound Dub” (Cream Records).
In 2009 he remixed Fine Day” (Kinky Rowland) which gained massive industry support and saw him sign to Fatboy Slim’s label Southern Fried with his first release for the label, “Full Frontal” (released in 2009 and went into the Cool Cuts charts at No. 13), all while doing remix duties for the likes of Tonka (Southern Fried)
His single “All I Want” Daniel Portman Remix (Absolutely Records) reached No. 5 on Beatport’s minimal chart in April 2013, and also reached No. 2 on DJ Tunes minimal chart and No. 39 on DJ Tunes electro chart.
